This is a clever variation on an old puzzle. The original puzzle is: you are confronted with two twin guards who each guard a door. Behind one door is freedom, behind the other is certain death. You know that one guard always tells the truth and the other always lies. You are allowed exactly one question for exactly one guard. What do you do? An answer can be found on the discussion page.
