The Austria-Hungarian Empire was the second largest Central power in WW-I, sending six million troops to fight the Allied powers. It invaded Serbia and Romania, conquering both easily. Its losing point was the Invasion of Italy. In the legendary battle of Milan, a small force of Italians defeated a large Austro-Hungarian army and slowly pushed the Austria-Hungarians out of Italy. Austro-Hungary came out of WW1 as one of the only countries to lose territory, losing the strip of the coast and some far eastern lands. Austro-Hungary couldn't wait to pay the Allies back.
