Magicians of the Bay (or MotB, pronounced "mot-bee") are one of the major competitors of Black Dog Game Factory. They're best known for their "Buy More Sorcery" card game. They also acquired LSD, Inc., and thus the granddaddy of all RPGs, Labyrinths & Lamiae. Just after the turn of the century, MotB concocted a scheme known as Obligatory Icosahedron Licensing, or simply OIL, which allowed third-party companies to make games compatible with the latest edition of L&L.
