  • Jasad's starship was a Cardassian Galor-class cruiser which was in service with the Cardassian military in the mid-24th century. In 2369, this ship was commanded by Gul Jasad of the Cardassian Guard, Seventh Order. In that year, Jasad's starship and two of her sister ships crossed the Cardassian border and traveled to Deep Space 9 in order to investigate the disappearance of the Prakesh. After Jasad refused to believe Kira Nerys' claims that Dukat had entered a wormhole, he had his ships flood subspace with antilepton interference to cut off any attempt by station personnel to contact Starfleet, ordered his ships to power up their forward phasers, and demanded the unconditional surrender of the station or he would open fire. In response to his demand, Kira fired six photon torpedoes across the hull of Jasad's starship and warned him that they were willing and capable of defending themselves. Jasad subsequently requested reinforcements from the Fourth Order after being misled to believe the station was armed with 5,000 photon torpedoes and integrated phaser systems. Jasad then proceeded to deploy his ships into a standard attack formation and opened fire on the station, after deciding that Kira's threat was a bluff. The three ships caused heavy damage to the station in their attack. In a futile attempt to stop the attack, the station fired a pulse compression wave through its phaser banks at Jasad's ship, causing some damage to his ship, but not enough to persuade Jasad to cease firing on the station. Jasad continued his attack on the station, hitting empty storage bays on level fourteen, then scoring a direct hit on a fuel conduit on the Promenade. Just as the station's shields were about to fail, and Kira prepared to surrender, the wormhole reappeared, and the USS Rio Grande emerged towing Dukat's ship. After Dukat emerged from the wormhole he signaled Jasad's ships to disarm. The Cardassian ships eventually left the area with the arrival of the USS Enterprise-D. (DS9: "Emissary")
