The Riverwolf was a large pike that resided in a watermeadow. When Skittles Burrtrump Spikediggle fell in the water, the pike tried to reach the hogbabe to sate its hunger, and it seemed like the Riverwolf would manage it despite the best efforts of several shrews attempting to save the babe, including Riggo, Kangle and Furrib. However at that moment, the raft of Ruffgar Brookback entered the meadow, and the otter immediately dove in. He caught the pike in a solid grip and battered its head with his tail until it fell temporarily unconscious. Almost immediately after that, the Riverwolf regained consciousness only to be driven off by Brocktree when he whacked it on the snout with his paddle.
