During the First Age, there once used to be a temple in the desert in honour of Tumeken. This temple was worshiped by the people who lived in the desert. It remained very serene, until the God Wars started. And then, Zaros took over the temple after months of blood and death. When Guthix woke up, he was devastated to see what was once a peaceful temple, was a fort with the symbol of the ancient god - Zaros. To avenge his death, his friends drank the oasis water and killed every being in their way. However, they escaped severely injured. The information was passed on to Awusah the Mayor, who passed it on to Ali the Mayor, who passed it on to King Roald, who passed it on to three adventurers. He asked them to purify the old temple from Zaros' power and to bring several vials of blessed temple water as proof. However, these adventurers were severely injured too, and are resting in tents near the oasis. They are looking for humble adventurers to help them purify the Temple of Tumeken. They are willing to give their possessions in exchange for vials of blessed temple water. Yes, not all of Zaros' curses can be vanquished, but the purity of the temple can still be restored.
