Ka-tel is a term in High Speech for a class of apprentice gunslingers. The term may imply a group of people being trained to serve ka's purpose as a ka-tet. Roland Deschain, Cuthbert Allgood, Alain Johns, and Jamie DeCurry comprised one such ka-tel, and were trained by Cortland Andrus.
