[Source] An Adegan lens was a type of lightsaber focusing lens that was in use during the Dark Wars, a string of conflicts occurring after the Jedi Civil War, which were fought between the leftovers of the Sith Empire and the Old Republic. The lens was constructed from Adegan crystals for use in a lightsaber, an energy-bladed melee weapon, which was used by members of the Jedi Order, as well as by Dark Jedi and the Sith. Although Adegan crystals were one of several crystals suitable for focusing lens construction, they were more commonly used as focusing crystals in lightsabers. When added inside of a lightsaber hilt, the Adegan lens caused the lightsaber to be much more powerful.
