A white paste prepared from the saliva of the uster, a black and white hawk originally native to temperate mountains, now sometimes domesticated, which usually feeds on fish. When fed salty foods, the hawk salivates excessively; the saliva may be carefully collected and mixed with lard to form a paste.Rorkandis dissolves cartilage; at minimum, it has no ill effects.
