At some point, he and Finnegan Blake went to confront Gunnery Sergeant Leeka who was raping midshipman Ashley Simmons but Leeka, using his training got the better of them and killed both of them by breaking their necks before leaving Turner's body on a hill just outside the college while Blake's body was buried at a construction site. Turner's body was found by a drunk college student, Fredrick Pippin which had the local authorities calling in NCIS to investigate the crime.
