It was put operational without the fore-knowledge of Darth Nihilus, when the Zann Consortium joined the Galactic Federation. After a distress call from Ithor and a Galactic Federation Fleet Command order to not let a single world fall to Nihilus's rampaging Reborn Sith Empire fleets, the Conspirator became the flagship of a quickly assembled relief fleet sent to Ithor. In the beginning stages of the Battle of Ithor, the Conspirator thrust forward from underneath its fibrous screens of Star Destroyers, cruisers, frigates, and gunships to engage the incoming Sith forces approaching orbit. As the last Ithorian orbital city was landed on by Sith dropships, the Mandalore-class battlecruiser drew the attention of the Sith, diverting it away from the highly vulnerable planet surface. However, it was too successful, and no less than four captured Imperial I-class Star Destroyers and a pair of support warships assaulted the Conspirator, mauling its shields. If the battlecruiser launched its fighters, the enemy bolts would impact them as they cleared the weakening deflector shields, exploding their ordanace, killing the pilots and severely damaging the Conspirator. As the shields of the Conspirator fell and the Mandalorian battlecruiser bombarded an enemy Imperial Star Destroyer to pieces with its batteries, the battlecruiser executed a wide turn, counting on its velocity and manueverability to bring it out of the range of the firing enemy Star Destroyers. As soon as it was clear and the Galactic Federation screen encapsulated it, the Conspirator let loose its starfighters, which swarmed the small enemy advance force. The Conspirator was planning to recharge its deflector shields and come in for another pass at the Sith, when Darth Nihilus arrived on his Star Destroyer, the Ravager. A Sith Interdictor dreadnaught was also amongst their ranks. The Galactic Federation relief fleet had no choice but to escape, blowing through the Interdictor and disabling its interdiction field with heavy casualties before jumping to lightspeed and escaping before Nihilus consumed all life in the Ithor system. However, after brief repairs, the Conspirator was assigned as a command ship to Delta Fleet, the amassing Galactic Federation armada that was going to strike at Malachor V. When the fleet arrived over the reborn Sith world, the Conspirator was assigned to heavy bombardment duties to destroy the Sith fleet's heavy cruisers and Star Destroyers. It performed exceptionally, taking out two Imperial I-class Star Destroyers with its thundering batteries, and then utilizing its storming fighter wings to ravage an enemy Peacekeeper-class Star Destroyer. Then, after the bulk of the enemy fleet had splintered, the Conspirator briefly maneuvered into orbit, disgorging most of its ground compliment in heavily armored Zann Consortium dropships. Afterwards, it maneuvered its bow towards the stars, engaging three enemy Victory II-class Star Destroyers simultaneously. However, when Darth Nihilus arrived with the majority of the Sith Starfleet, the battle was over: the Galactic Federation had been defeated. As the Conspirator was bombarded by enemy warships, its armor vaporizing and atmosphere venting, the commander of the Mandalore-class battlecruiser valiantly rammed an enemy Peacekeeper-class Star Destroyer, burning a hole for Rogue Seven to escape in his X-wing interceptor and jump to hyperspace, the sole Galactic Federation survivor of the gruesome battle.
