The Crown of Chaos is a guaranteed artifact; and is part of the "Trinity" of chaos items required for an ordinary chaos god or ultra ending. It appears as an obsidian crown when unidentified; though the fact it is dropped by Keriax should give clue to what the PC has found anyway.

Desirability
| - Equipment-wise, very dubious. Although its PV modifier and other bonuses are remarkable, using it is often not worth inflicting the cursed and doomed intrinsics on the PC; also, it corrupts when carried and doubly so when used. Furthermore, it is very difficult to obtain. It is usually only sought after by players attempting an ordinary chaos god ending or ultra ending, both of which the crown is a prerequisite for.
