Ephemerides is an astronomer of Moonglow in Ultima VI specialising in tidal predictions, but he also fashions devices like sextants and lenses. On their first meeting, he gladly sold the Avatar one of his sextants, while showing off his theory of a flat world with a model, explaining exactly how he envisoned the flat world. Later, when asked about it, he was able to craft a concave lens after examining the convex lens that Lor-wis-lem created, but needs a Glass Sword to melt down for the process (although he tried to play a little prank as well).

Ephemerides was working with Troy of Minoc to develop a mechanical model of the solar system.
