| - A freelance journalist of the highest caliber. Although Ben's quite ambitious and overly concerned about money, he's also willing to risk life and limb to expose injustices. Ben came to Raccoon City after hearing of the various horrible incidents taking place there. In his search to find the truth, he got himself arrested and locked up in the Raccoon City Police Department jail. After the biological disaster, his jail cell became his refuge. Though he possessed the key to the cell, he decided staying in the cell would be safer than leaving with zombies wandering about outside. He recorded everything he had learned about the incident, and was later attacked and killed by an unidentified creature.
