Vratislav Čech (b. January 28th 1979 in Tabor, Czechoslovakia) is a retired defenceman. Drafted by the Florida Panthers 56th overall of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, the Kitchener Rangers alumni was let go by the Panthers; the Boston Bruins signed him as a free agent in 1999. Čech played for the Providence Bruins of the AHL and the Greenville Grrrowl and Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, but failed to crack the Bruins' lineup; he opted to go back to Czech Republic in 2002, signing with the HC Havirov Panthers.
