I modified and maintained the server code and briefly hosted the game during it's early growing pains. I coded the stealth/cloak hacks and the original abomination of a combat system. However, since mid-1998, personal reasons have kept me from giving the game much attention. My last major task was migrating the game from the aging MUX 1.6 server to MUX 2.1 in 2002. - Hobbes is the pet of Matt Bruxworthy.
- Rank: Sergeant One of the space marines sent to Stroggos, Hobbes was part of the initial assault wave of Operation Alien Overlord.
- Hobbes was a chemical element listed on the Table of Elements. (TNG: "Rascals" ) The element Hobbes had the symbol "Ca" which is the same atomic symbol used for Calcium. It is presumably named after the comic strip "Calvin and Hobbes."
- Hobbes was the title taken by the leader of the tiger shapeshifters native to the hidden world Tigria. The Hobbes would keep his original name, but was mainly known to his people as Hobbes. As tigers were extremely long-lived, only fifteen Hobbes' were known to reign. - He was later called as a witness when Anna was arrested and tried for the murder, though he could provide no evidence that Anna was definitely the killer.
- Hobbes, named for philosopher Thomas Hobbes, is the deuteragonist of the comics. He is Calvin's stuffed tiger and best friend, who, from Calvin's perspective, is a live tiger and real as anyone else in the strip. The interplay between the two title characters, and the question of whether Hobbes was real or not (Watterson said yes, but only Calvin can see that he's alive) is what gave the strip its unique personality that remained mostly untouched during its decade-long run. He is a bad speller (spelling his name as "Hobs", great as "grat", and creek as "crk"); however, he might spell his name "Hobs" and creek as "crk" simply to shorten them because his writing is large (this is far less likely with his misspelling of "great", though he might pretend to misspell it to fool around with Calv
