| - Liberal fascism is a political ideology which is derived from a synthesis of liberalism and fascism. Although liberal and fascist thought are typically anachronistic, liberal fascism puruses the fascist core value of absolute power and the liberal values of freedom, individualism, and liberty under such a power. A defining platform value of the American National Party, liberal fascism is the ruling political ideology in the United States and should not be confused with Nazism, totalitarianism, or supremacism.
- Liberal Fascism is a term coined by Glenn Beck when he still worked for CNN with Jonah Goldberg and Ben Stein as a response to ultra-left-wingers calling conservatives as fascists. It might very well be an oxymoron as fascism is a right-wing form of government to counter communism and Liberal Fascism might mean Communism instead of Fascism that is Liberal.

Liberal fascism is rooted in the ideology that liberty is an important aspect to the supremacy of the state and the unity of the people. In such unity, equality of the masses is essential, and therefore, instead of forcing a single lifestyle upon people, as is the case in Nazism, liberal fascism advocates that personal liberties should extend to protect the individual in such a way that all individuals become equal from the standpoint of civil government. This, however, discounts what is considered to be a subversive ideology, that is politically, and as such, subversive or revolutionary movements which threaten the unity of the state are not protected. Because of such, liberal fascism opposes multi-party systems and advocates for a nonpartisan state. Liberal fascism also believes that the military is a vital part of the state and that subjugation to the supremacy of the state is required for the functionality of government. This is because in a highly militarized society, the people will become ultimately and totally loyal to the government because of the natural hierarchy presented by a military structure, and henceforth, militarism becomes necessary for the absolute rule of the government over the people. Such a viewpoint also requires the people to swear their absolute support for the government and such a hierarchy, and if not voluntarily then it is to be enforced physically. For its adoption of various freedoms, liberal fascism is sometimes compared to enlightened despotism. While not wholly liberal in the sense that free political subscriptions are not allowed by the government, liberal fascism does align quite closely to enlightened despotism. However, liberal fascism does not base the rule of government upon arbitrary familial relations, but rather, elections are held by the government to determine leadership, and these elections are even held popularly, unlike most other dictatorships. For this reason, liberal fascism parallels more with a Roman republican style of government than it does with an enlightened despot.

It will not be with jackboots. It will be Nike sneakers and smiley shirts. Smiley-smiley.” ~ George Carlin on Mocking Conservatives like Glenn Beck from beyond the grave.
