INS Shakti is the name of three ships which served in the Indian Navy. * The first Shakti, displacing 3,000 tonnes was of World War II vintage. It was acquired in November 1953, commissioned on 29 January 1954 and decommissioned on 31 December 1967. * The second ship INS Shakti was a large ship built by a German yard. It was commissioned on 21 February 1976 and decommissioned on 21 July 2007, after more than 31 years of naval service. * INS Shakti (A57), a modern Deepak class fleet tanker displacing 27,550 tonnes. It was commissioned in 2011.
