The Superstar by YoYoFactory is the successor to the G5. It features the G5's H-Shape, but is more angular and has a slightly different weight distribution. But it still retained the hubstacks on the sides of the yo-yo. The Superstar logo in the center and YoYoFactory's name on the rim are laser-engraved and the yo-yo itself is anodized. The surface is anodized but still has the machining lines on the first versions. On the re-release, it is bead-blasted on the outside and left the same on the inside.

| - The Superstar by YoYoFactory is the successor to the G5. Notable users of this yo-yo include John Ando, who used it when he won the 2008 World Yo-Yo Contest, and Kentaro Kimura, who used this yo-yo to win the 2008 and 2009 3A Championship titles at the World Yo-Yo Contest. In 2013, an updated design was released, known as the "New Superstar", which has a much wider, more exaggerated design, and flat hubs for finger spins rather than hubstacks.
