On at least the second occasion, the Thin Controller reluctantly allowed Max to leave Chuck D. Head and company with her. The demon began to change her mind at the sight and sound of Professor Frank N. Stein. She was first attracted to his German accent, as well as their similar taste in green hair. After claiming she could eat him (something confirmed by a nearby demon), the Thin Controller took him to meet the Tortured Souls and considered a short engagement with the professor. Wishing to be alone with her new catch, the Thin Controller let the others return home. After a few weeks, Stein returned to the castle with the Thin Controller in tow. During their time together, she had managed to convince him that engagement was a good idea and the Thin Controller (and her demon underlings) were invited to live in the castle. Shortly after stepping into the building, the Thin Controller ordered interior designer Ricardo to alter the castle to suit her tastes. Unfortunately, she began to lose her attraction to Frank after seeing a childhood photo of him as a blonde-haired choir boy. The final straw was that both the green hair and accent were fake; the Thin Controller angrily punched her former boyfriend before leaving.
