He found a terminal one day that he thought contained the location of some money. He hacked into it and found that it belonged to a group of Force users. The terminal contained information on how to use the Force. He learned all he could over the next 2 years and then took a flame thrower and blaster his father had stolen, and stole it from him. He then left to go be with the Sith.

He then left to go be with the Sith. When he arrived, Iani named himself Darth Cyning. He was taken by Lady Xiann as an apprentice and worked his way to Sith Acolyte. During the Galaxial War, he participated in several battles including the Battle of O'uahn and several other skirmishes and battles. He was part of a task force sent to the Ter Benix Empire to quell a rebellion supposedly started by Mikulas. There, he went MIA and nothing is known about his location or status.
