It's two tracks, "Backstabber" b/w "Dirty Business", and this is the A-side. The B-side's excellent too, of course, And I guess I could have gone with that or both or somethin', but whatEVER. Anyway, though, it's pretty much what you'd expect from the Dolls, although the recording sounds a bit cleaner than their first album. There's not much in the way of guitar on these tracks, and the way the bass is mixed is very subtle, but it's amazing how much even that tiny, tiny bit of bass fills out the sound. So, folks in bands, keep that in mind, I guess. Anyway, though—otherwise, the song's not too much different than what you'd expect—if you're thinking this is going to be the big Departure Record, I'm thinkin' you're gonna have to wait more. Of course, the question is whether or not the Dolls NEED a departure record, and I'd say "no". Because their first record (and a half, I guess, depending on how you want to count A Is For Accident) is damned fine. I just hope that "Bank Of Boston Beauty Queen" ends up being re-recorded for Yes, Virginia, because that is such a bad-ass song. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
