Robert William "Bobby" Unser (born February 20th, 1934 in Colorado Springs, Colorado) is a retired American racing driver, and three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500. Unser raced for Owen Racing Organisation during the second half of the 1968 Formula One Season, entering three races in 1968. He was told that he would be disqualified for his first entry at Monza if he raced in a USAC race in the US less than 24 hours before the Grand Prix, and withdrew his entry in advance of his second race (Canada) because of another USAC conflict. Unser made his first and only race start at the 1968 United States Grand Prix, lasting 32 laps before retiring with engine trouble.
