Orochimaru was resurrected by Sasuke Uchiha for the sole purpose of reviving the previous four Hokage. Following that meeting, Orochimaru had claimed to have reformed, and was solely interested in watching what path Sasuke would take in life. There were times when it was alluded that Orochimaru had some kind of alternative motive, but nothing ever came of these foreshadowed moments. Upon his revival, Orochimaru no longer taunted Naruto and Sasuke. While Orochimaru never even interacted with Naruto upon his return, he no longer seemed to be interested in taking over Sasuke's body, despite the fact that he had stated he was upon his revival. However, by that point, Orochimaru was severely outclassed by both Naruto and Sasuke, and so there was nothing he could do to oppose the two.
