She ultimately made the move to Los Angeles, where she has been working steadily since 2001. She appeared in the independent film Strange Hearts (with Christopher Michael), the 2005 horror film Stage Fright, and had a supporting role in the 2006 comedy film Big Momma's House (co-starring Mark Moses). Her short film credits have included Frank's Book (2001) and The Cookie Thief (2008). Parylak was recently seen in the acclaimed 2008 comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which also features Branscombe Richmond and Massi Furlan. In addition to her role in Star Trek, Parylak was recently cast in the action-thriller Silicon Valley. She also had a guest spot on the CBS series Moonlight.
