Zella stressed the importance of having the will and the heart to win a battle. He was willing to train the Avatar for 45 gp.

Nikobob one day came home with shoes he had found near the palace, which Inga had lost. He gave them to her as a gift, not realizing they contained magical pearls which would protect her and give her strength.

Wie auch Pama ging Zella auf Hochzeitsreise nach Zürich, wobei sie vom Zürcher Bullen Maxi zwar gedeckt wurde, aber nicht aufnahm.

On the way, she discovered that she couldn't be injured and had tremendous strength, so she defended herself against wild animals. Arriving at Queen Cor's palace, she met Inga, who by that time had been made a slave. He begged for his shoes back, and gave her the shoes he was wearing in exchange and promised to make her and her family comfortable. She agreed. She accompanied him and his party to Regos, where they discovered that the Gos and Cor had fled the islands with Inga's mother and father. The party left in pursuit, leaving Zella behind; but Inga gave Nikobob permission to move to Pingaree and build a house there.

Sie freundete sich gleich mit der Leitkuh in Zürich an und hatte dadurch alle Narrenfreiheiten in der Herde, was sich nachher als Problem rausstellte, als sie wieder nach Stuttgart in die Wilhelma kam, wo sie wieder auf ihre alte Elefantenherde bestehend aus Pama, Molly und Vilja traf. Die Pfleger mussten Wache schieben bis alle Damen wieder ihre Ränge in der Herde ausgefochten hatten. Die Stuttgarter Pfleger gehen mit Zella im Zoo ausreiten um so auch für die Bewegung der Elefantenkuh zu sorgen. Zella schüttelt und schlägt ihr Futter vor dem Fressen an ihr Bein um es so zu säubern. Zella badete immer gemeinsam mit Vilja, der alten Dame, die im Juli 2010 gestorben ist.
