It lives in shallow lochs of Scotland's man-made lakes and channels. It attaches itself to victims, dragging them down to its dwelling. When it smells the scent of passing horses, it strikes; attaching itself to the horse's legs. Then it drags the horse underwater and drains it of all blood.
