BLACKBERRY VINEGAR This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wilmot Estate in Rowlett, Texas in 1996. 1-1/2 cup white wine vinegar 1-1/2 cups blackberries 1/2 cup granulated sugar Put blackberries and vinegar in a 1 quart jar. Seal jar and let stand in a sunny window 4 days. Strain vinegar in a small stainless steel enamel saucepan then discard berries. Stir in sugar and heat over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Cool and pour into pint bottle. Cover and store in a cool dry place or store in the refrigerator.
