- Fishbone is, like his name suggests, a skeletal and fish-like enemy. They are made up of three triangular body pieces, each with a different color; their back piece is yellow, their middle piece is orange, and their head is red. The head piece is the largest of the three while the back piece is the smallest. The head piece has a black spot for an eye.

- The Fishbone is an undead variation of a Cheep-Cheep, similar to the relationship between a Koopa Troopa and Dry Bones. Fishbones reveal that living Cheep-Cheeps actually have large teeth and a singular rib cage. A unique characteristic of Fishbones are their hollow, glowing yellow eye sockets that shine in the dark. They seem to be ruled by a skeletal shark known as Kingfin.
