The Sigma Blade, released in April 2003 by YoYoJam, was a yo-yo made as the signature series model of 2002 Worlds X Division champion Daisuke Shimada. It was designed to have the weight so focused on the sides and away from the center, that it makes for longer sleep times and better stability. It was discontinued in early 2004, and replaced by the newer Sigma Blade Zwei. Shimada had used both versions of the yo-yo for his 3A freestyles.
