| - The Creepodile is a creature that appears only in the cartoon show episode "A Loss Of Smurf". It lives sleeping at the bottom of Gooey Lagoon in the region of Pussywillow Hollow where the Wartmongers live. According to their legend, once the monster is awakened, it will not go back to sleep until it has eaten a king, presumably the king of the Wartmongers. In the episode, Slop, Sludge, and Slime were visiting Gooey Lagoon to get some wild pond scum for King Bullrush, trying to keep as quiet as possible, when Vanity who had recently been turned into a Wartmonger accidentally made enough noise to disturb the Creepodile's slumber and to awaken him. Barely escaping from the creature, the three Wartmonger hunters turned Vanity over to King Bullrush, who was seeking a way to avoid being the king who would have to sacrifice himself to the Creepodile. He decided to make Vanity be the new king of the Wartmongers, with his first act prior to his coronation being appeasing the Creepodile while riding out into the lagoon on a "coronation boat" by feeding it with a special scepter, which is actually Slag's jester scepter. Nat and Snappy, who had gone out to find Vanity after their teasing about his appearance had caused him to run away from the Smurf Village, had overheard King Bullrush's actual intentions with Vanity and had sneaked on board the boat to inform him. Disguising a gourd that they have brought on board the boat with the royal turban and cape of the king, Vanity, Nat, and Snappy fooled the Creepodile into eating it instead of Vanity as they jumped overboard to safety. Apparently satisfied with having eaten a king, the Creepodile went back to its rest, and King Bullrush had reinstated himself as king of the Wartmongers.
