The Pride of Portree, a Quidditch team, was founded on the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides in 1292, presumably in the town of Portree. In 1718, the Ministry of Magic made plans to create a purpose-built wizarding prison on some Hebrides island. This was scrapped by Minister for Magic Damocles Rowle, who decided on using Azkaban instead.
