  • Dennis Howard was the CEO of JTech, taking over for Donald Gates III at the conclusion of the Grand Mexican War. Howard was tasked with the difficult position of shifting the company in a profitable direction following the end of the world. Most of the major business units were hardly relevant after the nuclear attacks, and it was difficult to get employees to come to work. However, Howard spoke frequently of returning to the old world, and enriching everyone's lives through science. This was first done through the establishment of the Woonsocket Agricultural Sciences Laboratory (WASL), an agricultural venture to generate wheat and other grain crops, indoors, in a sustainable manner. However, in 2089, King Phillippe nationalized WASL, which greatly angered Howard. He turned to political activism, and hoped that when the Anchor party returned to power following the 2090 Elections, that WASL would return to JTech. However, the ruling coalition of Anchor, Nationalist, and Libertarian parties, were not an effective government and could hardly agree on more pressing matters. In 2100, Howard ran for President on the Libertarian party ticket, hoping to restore free enterprise to the nation after four years of Labor party rule that saw the WASL expanded, and the formation of two new public utilities, National Rail and PPL. Howard performed poorly against the popular incumbent president, Pierre Bourbon. Following the election he retired from JTech with plans to explore the continent.
