The Detroit Greyhounds were a minor professional team in Detroit, Michigan. They played in the American Hockey Association in the 1926-27 season. They had been the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, a senior team that played in the Northern Ontario Hockey Association's senior league. That team had won the Allan Cup in 1924 but was losing money in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
