| - When Kunta Kinte was found enslaved in Africa by a group of kind Christians. He was brought over to America on a cruise ship, and enjoyed a life time supply of cufflink buttons in the Free World of America.
- Kunta Kinte was born into a traditional African tribe and raised to be a warrior before being captured and sold into American slavery. He was given the name "Toby" and was willing to do whatever it took to return home to his family. One of his friends was Fiddler, another slave. Kinte tried to run away, but once, when he was captured, a slaver whipped him into saying his given name. In all, he tried to escape four times, but that time, he was recaptured and had half of his foot sliced off. Luckily, a kind woman helped him. Kinte married and became the father of a daughter, Kizzy. He raised his daughter in the traditional African way, but even after Kizzy was taken from him, and after his death, Kinte's legacy would be remembered for generations to come.
