Mekron was a Human slave trader and crime boss who emerged shortly after the formation of the New Republic. He would later gain even more infamy by becoming Supreme Commander of the Declon fleet. Known and feared by many, he was responsible for creating the Emnem species solely to be slaves. He would brand slaves with a letter "M" to show their slavehood to him. This was known as the Mark of Mekron. The first known work as a slave trader was as a go-between man for Dertykop the Hutt. It was Mekron who told Sebastrew about Dertykop's need for a family of Triffians as slaves. However, soon after, Mekron became bored with his job and attempted a coup on Dertykop. He was fed to Dertykop's Bull Rancor as punishment. However, through unknown means, Mekron killed the Rancor and snuck out of Derty
