Edmund Robert Dawes (October 2, 1906 - August 17, 2005) was an American Nationalist politician and political strategist best known for serving as a U.S. Senator for Vermont from 1945-1981. A member of the Eastern Establishment and a close ally of Presidents Prescott Bush and Richard Van Dyke, Dawes came to exemplify the wealthy party core.
