Fluffy Cumulus clouds are formed when bubbles of warm air rise form the Earth's surface. Water vapor the air cools and condenses (turns into liquid) forming clouds droplets. The clouds have a limited depth and are usually short-lived, lasting from 5 to 40 minutes. Sometimes, they develop into rain clouds. They are heapy clouds which form because of surface temperatures rising. When the temperatures rise, also more water (from pipes, etc.) evaporates into the atmosphere and cools off, forming a heapy mass of Cumulus. However, if it is very hot, cumulus clouds can develop even more, forming a Cumulonimbus, a very high storm cloud.

  • The Cumulus is the Stage 1 form of the Weather group. It has high magical stats, but low physical ones.

  • Cumulus (Cu; Latin for heap) is a common genus of cloud which is formed by the rising of pockets of warm air and which has the appearance of a heap of cloud rising from a horizontal base. The cumulus cloud is commonly described as looking like a cotton ball or as "fluffy". Most of the time, cumulus clouds have a solid white colour, but some "towering" cumulus clouds can become dark. Cumulus congestus clouds can develop into cumulonimbus calvus clouds and thence into cumulonimbus incus clouds; each of these is capable of generating storms and showers.

Cumulus clouds were first described by Luke Howard in 1802 as "convex or conical heaps, increasing upwards from a horizontal base - wool bag clouds".
