The Vigilant Shadow class was based on the design of the Ygorin-class, but was much more heavily armed. Early designs were capable of taking on cruisers; however, only a couple of prototype models remain of those earlier classes, the original Corusca Pride class. Like the Ygorin-class, the VS-class had docking indentations for its six shuttles. Unlike its civilian cousin, however, the Vigilant Shadow-class also held six fighter bays, each large enough to hold a single Banshee fighter, or, with a conversion kit installed, a single Firestorm-class atmospheric/surface recon craft.
