  • Raymond Wallace "Ray" Bolger (January 10, 1904 - January 15, 1987) was an American actor who is best known for playing the Scarecrow and farmhand Hunk in the 1939 musical film, The Wizard of Oz. His only Disney role was the crooked villain Barnaby in the musical film, Babes in Toyland. He also narrated The Story and Songs of The Wizard of Oz. He later died from bladder cancer at age 83.
