They were economic rivals and developed a blood feud with the Rokat family. Palaq was brutally murdered by one of the brothers of Jamar and Qasam Rokat who was based in Janaal. His head was severed and displayed atop a fountain for all to see.

His head was severed and displayed atop a fountain for all to see. Palaq's murder sparked the serial killings of 1039 KF by Nurhar Dihanur and his wife Alzena. Before turning their murderous spree to Summersea in Emelan, the two killers had managed to murder all of the Rokat clan that was based in both Janaal and Bihan. Nurhar and Alzena managed to kill most of the Rokat family before being stopped and killed by Sandrilene fa Toren and Pasco Acalon.
