abstract	Maltos IV was a planet in the Alpha or Beta Quadrants. The planet had a native people who lived in the valley of the green river. These natives had a scroll called the Book of Fulfillment which recorded a series of events in the planet's history. According to the Book of Fulfillment, Captain Jonathan Archer once visited the planet and was chased away by the inhabitants who believed him to be a madman. Later, Klingons invaded Maltos IV and James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise arrived at the planet to aid the natives. Kirk would lead a rebellion against the Klingon invaders and became a religious figure to the Maltos IV natives. Even later, on stardate 46531.5, Professor Richard Galen discovered the remains of the Book of Fulfillment on Maltos IV and translated the book into Federation Standard.
