  • Daniel Sekhem has always been interested by his father's stories about the corruption in the Wakanda government, but things never seemed to add up. His father, Hunter, always told his son that it was Wakanda that was corrupt and evil, but never himself. These stories were proven false when Nick Fury came to arrest his father for the acts he has committed with his Hatut Zeraze or secret police. Daniel left to go to Wakanda for more answers. At Wakanda he was adopted by his uncle T'Challa and aunt Ororo. He learned of the choices he would have to one day make as king of Wakanda and decided to revive the lion cult. Whenever Daniel was in school he would always be interested in the lion cult and wanted it to be a part of his life. On the day Daniel had to walk from one side of Wakanda to the other he was dead set on finding and killing a lion so he can return its hide to his uncle and revive the lion cult. While halfway through his journey he found a lion, only there was something strange about the lion, it appeared to be albino. After killing the lion with a heavy heart he decided to honor it by naming himself after it, the White Lion. On his return home he noticed something different about himself, he was running extremely fast. It was almost as if he had obtained the powers of the lion god, Sekhmet. He returned home and served several years as king of Wakanda and honorary member of the new and improved Hatut Zeraze. When asked to join Iron Man's team, the Illuminati, he accepted because of the fact his adoptive father was a part of this team and it might help him become a better ruler.
