In 2009, Mattel and Nickelodeon introduced a preteen version of Dora, with four friends named Naiya, Kate, Emma, and Alana, who call themselves the Explorer Girls. The Explorer Girls were included in the Dora and Friends spin-off in 2014. An episode was aired on television for Dora's Explorer Girls on August 7, 2011 but Nickelodeon has yet to air this episode. And now they call this episode the pilot episode for Dora and Friends: Into the City the episode was titled: Our First Concert. This episode can still be found online. A website for Dora's Explorer Girls went on Nick Jr. in 2009 and lasted until 2009-2012. The website was titled doragirls.com.
