Just wondering, how exactly were the participants chosen?(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 14:30, October 11, 2010 (UTC) I've been pinging IRC admins recently to revise the list, and we've been cycling participants in and out until we found a list we could all agree with. Once I get a final draft to you and another admin, I'll post it, so that any other necessary changes can be made accordingly. -- 22:54, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • 'Tis good fun indeed. However, as for the badge idea, I would hold off on it for now. Until this wiki moves to its new address off-Wikia, it should still maintain its high degree of professionalism, including not merging the social side of the wiki and mainspace directly. As soon as we take off in the next month or so, I would go ahead and add it. At that point, the wiki is aimed toward being a fansite/Facebook for Kingdom Hearts rather than an encyclopedia, so policies like that become moot.
  • Not really that surprising considering there are only two matchups in each bracket left...ya know.
  • Sign your comments with four tildes, like this ~~~~. And that's because you haven't been autoconfirmed; wait a few days like Chitalian said and you'll be able to edit semi-locked pages.
  • I mean, how does it work? and how do you join? :D
  • My, my, Sean, already getting impatient again...lol. Just what will you do when the keyblade war is over...???
  • Indeed, it's roughly the same number of matches as usual, if not less than that. The fact that there are so many individual brackets was part of the reason the voting is being delayed.
  • We don't have to be so critical when the warnings and being applied in regards to an event occurring on a social section of the wiki. However, this definitely disrupted the process, and users ignoring messages to continue getting in the way of this process is very close to the definition of vandalism. Since this needed clearing up, I don't think any warnings need to be given, but in the future, I see no problem with taking such action.
  • Unlikely. It's an end of the year celebration, and we pick a different one of those every year.
  • Really? Aren't it 5 rounds of voting if one counts in the finale? 32,16,8,4,2? Either way, I just assumed the responsible ones just haven't got that much time on hand...
  • Okay. I'm gonna try getting my edit count up that way I can actually vote! :D
  • As it looks now we'll have no choice but to wait. We don't know what's going on. But Real Life should always coming first. I'm actually a very patient guy...but if we still have no clear message on Wednesday even I might get somewhat worried...;) Just don't go and take it in your own hands again, 'kay. I'll doubt Maggosh or DTN would find that very funny...
  • Soxra is correct. Those rules are restricted to Mirage Arena matches. If you've been voting in the Keyblade War all this time you're still permitted to vote on the 3rd place match.
  • @Wh!te$tar: Your editcount doesn't matter for this event, only for the Mirage Arena. That's because The Keyblade War is a relatively short end-of-the-year blowout, and the Mirage Arena is meant to last much longer. The Arena needs an minimum number of edits because otherwise people would start registering just to participate in it and distract from the mainspace .
  • Y'know, or you guys could just edit the mainspace. >.>

  • Like the Magicite Madness on the FF wiki will this happen every year?
  • They are not on the battle bracket thing.

  • AHH!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! :D

  • The entire outcome would also have been different. Besides, we fixed the sockpuppet incident without too much hassle , so it's just water over the dam.

  • Battles with ladies! And men! And ladies that dress like men!

  • Okay, can we give out warnings for users opening the brackets early like a certain Mr. Wheeler did on the grounds that "they seem open", whatever that's supposed to mean. Immediately after he did this, several users began voting . I repeatedly, repeatedly told the users who were voting to stop in edit summaries, but they're either not seeing them or just ignoring them. This is supposed to be fun and I really don't want to have to punish people over this, but you have no idea how much this pissed me off. It was a blatant disregard of simple rules and honestly really bratty impatience on SeanWheeler's part. I've given up trying to remove the votes since it's gotten to around five users just ignoring me, but if this happens again I want to know if I can give out warnings. Ugh...

  • @Soxra, Never heard that one before. But honestly, I'm glad with the big turnout of TKW, the Mirage Arena is already pretty much a regular-editor-exclusive thing.

  • I think It's an awesome idea, I have'nt been on Mirage arena so I'm looking at that!

  • The card images are from the characters' respective articles, following the same background pattern. Not too difficult to make with Photoshop and a few minutes. As for the images themselves, they're hosted on KingdomKeyDarkside's PhotoBucket account externally.
  • I don't think the 3rd place match has an edit count limit. Those rules are for the Mirage Arena, and this is a TKW fight. Other users have been allowed to vote, so I'm pretty sure it's not edit-count limited.

  • Yeaah, I was the one who made those. DTN asked me to. Anyway, if you want to use them, go ahead. Unless, of course, you want another one, which I'd be glad to make.
LEA
  • I have the same question.
