Mrs Burrows was a potential buyer of No.8 Coronation Street when it was briefly on the market in January 2010. Mrs Burrows, along with her husband and their daughter Jess, viewed the house on 18th January. After being told by David Platt that the Street was inhabited by murderers and paedophiles, the family decided not to buy the house, little realising that David was merely trying to sabotage the sale, as he objected to his mum Gail's decision to sell the house to pay off her husband Joe McIntyre's debts.
