  • Molnon was the frequent spokesman and the apparent de facto leader of the group of Clansmen living on the Royal cemetery planet. Molnon oversaw the clan's practice known as "Taking the Stone" and spoke what seemed to be the ritual words before each jump. Molnon himself was reluctant to take the stone before fathering a child, well aware of the mortal danger jumping presented. It was because of this that he welcomed the arrival of Chiana to the planet. During her time with the Clansmen, Chiana grew close to Molnon who hoped to use her to jump in his stead. The arrival of Chiana's friends John Crichton and Aeryn Sun complicated his plan. Trying to sort through the hallucinogenic mushrooms and the Clansmen's seemingly incoherent rambling, Crichton tried to bring Chiana back to Moya. In the process, he was able to determine the reason the Clansmen sickened and died so young. Hoping to convince them to move to the planet's surface, Crichton persuaded Molnon to get the clans to vote on the issue. Though the clans elected to stay underground and continue to take the stone, Crichton decided to bring Molnon's plans for Chiana to an end and punched him, knocking him unconscious. Chiana, however, decided to make the jump anyway.
