| - The Jarvis Road Estate is a council estate centred along the Jarvis Road in Erdington, north Birmingham. The estate was built on a narrow strip of land on an east-west axis, with allotments to the north, Gravelly Lane to the east, the terraced housing of Somerset Road to the south and Court Lane to the west. Jarvis Road was specifically constructed to accommodate the estate, with properties at Gravelly Lane and Court Lane being demolished to allow for road access. Plans for the estate were approved in 1964, and proposed the construction of five 11 storey tower blocks along the northern edge of Jarvis Road, and lowrise houses along the southern edge as well as St Margaret's Church. Construction of the tower blocks was completed by Bryant using the Bison construction method in 1966, whereas the houses were completed in 1967. A pathway leading to St Margaret's Church was created from Somerset Road, although the vicarage has since been built on this land.
