Silverfish are the smallest mob in Minecraft. They appear when the player mines a certain block. The block, named Block Number 97, is available in Creative Mode as a Stone (or Cobblestone) Monster Egg. These only spawn in Extreme Hills Biomes or Extreme Hills Edge biomes. They also appear in Strongholds, where there are Silverfish spawners. Silverfish also drop no reward for killing them aside from experience. Silverfish were the basis for Endermite's and Redstone Bug's design.

  • The silverfish is the last boss on Pest Control. It runs around with smaller silverfish and the player needs to swat its non-glowing spots to hurt it.
  • The Silverfish, or fishmoth, (Lepisma saccharina), is a small, wingless insect in the order Thysanura. Its common name derives from the animal's silvery light grey and blue colour, combined with the fish-like appearance of its movements, while the scientific name (Lepisma saccharina) indicates the silverfish's diet of carbohydrates such as sugar or starches.
  • The HK-Silverfish was a low height, segmented attack-drone that resembled it's namesake insect, the silverfish. Employed in battle, the Silverfish would crawl along the ground seeking human command posts. Its low height made it both hard to spot and also offered some protection from enemy fire. When the Silverfish encountered an enemy target, it would plow headlong into the target and explode.
  • Silverfish are aliens that have seeded on Earth as part of a plot to invade through surreptitious means. Silverfish co-ordinate their invasion through means of their workers - commonly called Silverfish Workers. Silverfish Workers are larger versions of Silverfish which are multi-limbed and will "vanish" upon being located by human beings. Silverfish Workers have been found to dislike music greatly - one theorem is that music will eventually save the Earth from the Silverfish invasion.
  • Silverfish are grey legless insects from Strongholds. They inside rock, so they probably eat stone. __TOC__
  • Silverfish are Hostile Mobs that were added in Update 0.9.0. They spawn exclusively in Strongholds and Extreme Hills Biomes inside of Monster Eggs.
  • [view] • [talk] Silverfish are small, bug-like hostile Mobs that have silver skin, black eyes, and hide in special blocks found in strongholds.
