Robin Bew is a British economist who is the current Editorial Director & Chief Economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). A well known commentator on international economic trends, he is regularly interviewed on UK and global media outlets. He lectures annually at Oxford University's Business and Economics Programme and was interviewed by Jonathan Dimbleby in 2010 on the global financial crisis. His Twitter feed is regularly quoted in the financial media. He often presents the results of research projects funded by EIU clients which are being released to the media, such as the Global Peace Index and the Globe Shopper Index. He also speaks on behalf of the EIU at Economist and Eurofinance conferences.
